    The differences aren't just historical, it even includes prayer, down to practices not mentioned in the Holy Quran (ejtehad el 3olama').

    In my opinion, anything that deviates from its origins, becomes incomplete.
    That is applicable to Islam, too. Since it has 2 main branches, I judge both as incomplete, hence, I seek practices of both and compare.

    As both you and I said :: It's my own opinion.
    And just to clear things, I don't question what's written in the Holy Quran nor what was confirmed about prophet Mohammad (9alla allah 3laih wa alih) & Ali bin abi 6aleb (karram allah wajhoh) -- which is what you think that I'm pointing at.

    Studying engineering has nothing to do with learning my religion's teachings.

    That said, please don't compare me to those "islamists"; I don't employ religion to self-benefits.
